8-Week Advanced Training and Consultation
As a therapist working with individuals with chronic neuroplastic symptoms, it can often feel overwhelming, or challenging to know how to make progress with clients who feel “stuck.”
Research shows that trainings alone don’t meaningfully change clinician behavior, but consistent consultation after a workshop can significantly improve therapist adherence, self-efficacy, and skill level.1,2
Mind Body Therapy Center offers small, 8-week consultation groups that integrate different modalities, designed to help you feel confident and effective in working with clients experiencing a wide range of neuroplastic symptoms and co-occurring mental health issues. These groups are intended for mental-health clinicians who have done some training in modalities aimed at treating neuroplastic conditions (e.g. Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy) but want to continue to deepen their practice and skill sets.
These consultation groups are co-led by Mind Body Therapy Center Director Daniel Lyman, LCSW and Associate Director Gabrielle Jacobs, LCSW. Groups meet 8 times for 90 minutes, and include a mix of hands-on training and education, as well as devoted time for case presentation and consultation. Participants will have the opportunity to share recordings of work with their own clients, for detailed feedback aimed at accelerating the pace of clinician growth. The cost is $915.
Groups meet on Friday afternoons from 12:30-2:00 p.m. PST (3:30-5 p.m. EST). The dates and times for the next group are:
