If you’re new to the idea of neuroplastic pain, it can be challenging to know whether your symptoms are structural or neuroplastic. Often, it can be helpful to speak with a physician to evaluate your medical history, including past imaging and reports, to better understand whether mind-body therapy would be a good approach to help you recover from chronic pain, as well as symptoms including dizziness, migraine, and persistent stomach issues.
At Mind Body Therapy Center, we are proud to partner with Dr. Matthew McClanahan, an osteopathic physician (Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine), who is board certified in both Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Family Medicine (Metro Health Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI). Dr. McClanahan is available, by virtual appointment, to review your past medical history and imaging, and to help you figure out how much of your symptoms can be attributed to your brain. In addition to his work with patients in private practice, Dr. McClanahan is engaged with ongoing research efforts through the University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical School on neuroplastic interventions for chronic pain.
To schedule an evaluation appointment with Dr. McClanahan, please talk with your MBTC therapist, who will facilitate the appointment. We strive to make Dr. McClanahan’s specialized services available to clients at an affordable rate of $550 for a 60 minute appointment.
